On Thursday, 6th November, we will be hosting a special Alzheimer’s Research UK and UCL Dementia Research event, showcasing cutting-edge dementia research at UCL. We will be running a combination of exhibition viewings, screen printing workshops and short talks:
10am-12pm – Screen printing workshop 1
11:30am – Main exhibition space opens
12pm – Exhibition viewing, lunch, and brief welcome from Professor Sebastian Crutch & Alzheimer’s Research UK
1:30-2:30pm – Brief talks from UCL dementia researchers, featuring Dr Selina Wray (stem cell models for drug discovery), Dr Tammaryn Lashley (viewing pathological changes in the brain), and Dr Jonathan Rohrer (the genetics of frontotemporal dementia), plus visual artist Charles Harrison (on his work to illustrate the experience of vision problems in Alzheimer’s disease)
2:30-4:30pm – Screen printing workshop 2
Entry to the exhibition and talks (11:30-3pm) is free and all are welcome with lunch provided, but places must be reserved in advance. A limited number of free tickets are also available for the two screen printing workshops (10am-12pm or 2:30-4:30pm) which must be booked separately.
